Bulfer's Custom Jewelry Shop

There are various methods for the manufacture of a custom piece of jewelry at Bulfer's. Depending on the design, the piece may be hand-fabricated in metal, or a wax model may be made and cast using the lost-wax method to create the finished metal product.

These wax models may either be hand-fabricated or machine-fabricated if using a CAD computer generated rendering like picured below. The end result is still the same - a unique, one-of-a-kind keepsake made with the skill and expertise of a master jeweler.

When designing your custom piece, there are a few things you should keep in mind… What is the intent of the piece and how will it be worn? What is the budgeted amount for the piece and are there any particular requirements?

A typical custom job usually follows a similar scenario such as the one below:

Customer:  "Hi. I'm looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend."

Bulfer's:  "O.K. Do you know what your girlfriend likes? Have you discussed getting her a ring?"

Customer:  "Yes. I know she likes a round diamond, and she likes the Tiffany solitaire style. Can I get a 1.00 carat diamond? I really don't want to spend more than $6,000 total for the ring."

Bulfer's:  "I can definitely help you. Let me show you what I have."

The customer is then shown three diamonds of various qualities, all around 1.00 carat size, and chooses one. The solitaire ring mounting is also chosen and an arrangement is made to have the diamond set and the ring picked up the next day.
